What Is An Intel XEON And What Are They For?

v4 and it costs around four thousand pounds so who would need so many cause who would pay that much for a processor so let's talk about the purpose of these processors now these processors are actually made for enterprise level performance this means things such as movie production game development and servers big server companies such as Microsoft big movie production companies such as Warner Brothers and big game development companies such as Activision would actually use these processors to develop their content and the reason these have so many cause is because because 3d CGI programs could actually utilize every single core every single thread and stitch the image together a lot faster if you ever watch a film and you see some really great VFX the odds are that was made with the Zeon is applications like that where sheer core can't really does matter what would take a full day on the intel core cabling i7 would take a couple minutes on a Xeon also the reasons the reason the reason the reasons eons are so popular in servers is because they are very good at number crunching when you've got hundreds if not thousands of people tuning in to play a game such as Elder Scrolls on land you need as much computing power as you can these servers need to need to register and mark down all of the player actions or the player stay of data everything that needs to be documented on the server would be done through an Intel processor now you heard me talk about the number of cores that this Z on would have 22 that's absolutely insane now what if it got a bit crazier now server Grid motherboards can have up to three sockets that means you can have up to three processors plugged in at a time however this Xeon only supports two sockets which means if you had a server grade motherboard which supported cable against kalak you could theoretically buy two of these and have 44 cords and 88 threads now that's actually overkill for anything I will actually mean anything unless you want to build a planet or some shit you will not need that many cause the reason these processors are so rarely seen on the consumer market is because they aren't made for consumers these are industrial grade enterprise technologies people like me in you really would not be able to you know take full advantage of every single core and every single thread and most of us aren't willing to shell out the cash these processors can support terabytes of RAM the maximum amount of RAM a core r7 can support that I've seen anywhere is up to 128 gigabytes now that's actually insane in itself but that is nothing compared to what Zeon's can support which is up to terabytes and you know terabytes have run you know that's more RAM than I actually have hard drive storage in my PC but as I said these are in enterprise grid processors right here anyway put simpler jion's are made for servers game developers mean your movie production all that big industrial grid enterprise technology stuff me and you really couldn't take advantage of them.
